Kompressor and BOV

Hello everyone,

I want to install a HKS Blow Off in my CLK 2.3k and I want to know if I have only to change the original recycluater or is there more to do?

I've this text on the forum:
The 230 K have a blow off valve ( look at your air filter box ).

The reason is that MB runs with the throttle on the pressure side
of the supercharger, when the throttle is closed and the engine still is up in speed, the compressor will still boost and create 3-4
bars pressure on the throttle, if the bypass wasen't there.
When you open the inlet throttle, the bypass will close and opposit.
KLEEMANN and AMG have the throttle on the inlet side on the compressor, why bypass not is needed, when the throttle is closed, no air will enter the supercharger.
AMG do not use bypass - KLEEMANN does.
The bypass in the KLEEMANN system, brings down temperatures
in the system when the engine runs off boost ( part loads ) and gives better milage.
All centrifugal kits boost on the throttle, why it would be a crime
not to build in a bypass.

So to fit a BOV on your cars will be a little off, it's already there.
Please help to install it.

Hi, I've found this on a german forum: http://www.blauertacho.de/doc/bov/sl...kompressor.htm

That's an instruction how to fit in a bov to a 230k slk. However the slk has a little bit other engine.

Hi guys, you are a little off here.

I have a CLK 230 Kompressor 1999
Manual Transmission
I have searched many forums but i were not able to get the procedure about installing a BOV
But after searching about the Kompressor i have found that they allready come equipped with a bypass valve that do the same sound as a Blow Off Valve but the sound is super pressed inside the Air Filter Box
in order to get a BOV sound while shifting with the gaz floored simply you need one Air Filter and a hose
on the air filter box there is 2 hose connected
the one that is connected on the rear that goes next to the exhaust should be disconnected from the air filter
install the hose on it and the filter in order not to fill the kompressor with dust and derbies
the hole on the air filter should be covered with a net in order also not to fill the filter with dust.
simply floor the gaz and release and you will get the awesome sound
it has been a month that i'm driving my car on daily basis and till now no problem occurred
