seating comfort in CLK 320 or 430 cabriolets

We are interested in buying a 2000 or 2001 CLK 320 or CLK 430 cabriolet, and had read on another site some reviews by owners, stating how after a few hours the seats became very uncomfortable.

As we do long driving trips, this is a critical point, and so a potential deal breaker.

Any input from current/past owners would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

My seats feel pretty comfortable. For long drives, just recline a bit, get a good driving posture, and put it on cruise control.

Since you haven't bought your car yet, find one with the "Lumbar" option. I'm not sure exactly what its called (maybe someone can comment) but basically it allows you to adjusts the firmness/cushion of the seats internally using controls on the inner side of the seats.

Seats

If possible, find a car with multicontour seats. They won't add much to the cost of a pre-owned car, and they are great. If possible find a car that also has heated seats. If you live in a cold climate, you will not want to have a car without them.

the CLk's seat are quite comfortable... even for long trips. and "funky102" is right, just use cruise control and just sit back and chill...

those multicontour seats do add to the comfort too... you won't be disappointed with the seats.

I agree with the others that state the comfort of the seats in the CLK Cab; I ordered multi-contour option on my 2K 430 because of a bad back, and I've never had a problem on any length trip in my Cab!
I can't say the same about my wife's ML320, but I can get by even in those seats with rest stops ever few hours. I live in Central Florida, and I make trips to Nashville non-stop in my CLK without any rest stops, so I really think the seats are very comfortable.
Ride in comfort!

I think that the seats in my CLK320 a very comforable. Not a good comparison but at the end of high school and through college I drove a Chrysler Laser and after about an hour and a half I would start to get a cramp on my lower left side. Nothing like this has ever happened in the CLK, even driving 11 hours straight to Florida one year. Well not straight there, we had bathroom stops etc........
