Wanted: CLK lightweight wheels 16x7
Greetings,
I am on the hunt for a set of lightweight CLK forged rims for my 1987 vanagon and thought I'd ask if anyone has a spare set they'd be willing to sell to me? I believe they are found on CLK 320s from the late 90s and early 00s.
These wheels make vanagons much more stable and fun to drive. My wife and I are planning to drive from Portland OR to Massachusetts in July and want to upgrade our tiny 14" wheels before the trip.
They need to be the 16x7 ET37 variety to fit the van (see below picture; found on google)

I am guessing you are in OR? you should fill out your user cp. more people will know where youa re and would be able to give you better advice.

I have a spare set of CLK_320 16" wheels. (identical to the ones pictured)
I used to run them on my Diesel benz and now they are just sitting in my garage.

IIRC, these were 1 year only wheels, CLK320 from 2000 model

Check on your local Craigs List.....I've frequently see them there for $100 - $200 per set of 4. The more sporty CLK wheels run $350 - $500 a set.

I've been searching daily for over a month and none have popped up, but I'm not giving up. We don't start our cross-country trip till June so there's still time. Or maybe someone on this forum will help us out.
