99CLK320,
raise idle?
Does anyone know how to raise the rpm by 100 or 200 without going into a major ECU programming thing? Because I have a cold air intake and headers courtesy of vipclk and ghostrider I now have a droning sound at the stop light while the car is in gear. If take the car out of gear the engine increases 1-2 hundred rpms and the drone stops. I have tried to tighten up the throttle cable just a little bit but it raises several hundred or nothing. Don't feel like taking the car out of gear evertime I hit a light. Any suggestions would be appreciated. TIA, dlb

exactly like jbenz said, there is a threaded piece on your throttle sensor next to your fuse box in the engine bay infront of your brake booster, just tighten that up a few turns to your liking.

99CLK320,
I have tried that but as I tighten it up I get to a point where there is no change and then I go just a little more and the rpm move up a bunch, say 4-500 rpm.

What I did when I adjusted mine was move it then press on the gas a couple times to see if there's any change. if not I would shut the car off and turn back on and see where its at.I just kept repeating until it was where I wanted it.

99CLK320,
I was tightening the cable and the rpm increase was imperceptable to the my ear(duh). only when I tightened, check the tach, tightened it some more, check the tach, did I see a slight increase. Thanks, y'all.
