rear bolt stuck

so today i attempted to change my spring pads in the rear but couldnt get the control bolt off. it seems that the bolt is stuck with the bushing sleeve.is there any way that it can be loosened by using wd-4o or am i better off just cutting the bolt? if so where can i get the bolt other then the dealer? thanks

Do you have picture of the situation?
Perhaps you should use a jack to support the lower control arm. Jack it up a little to make the sleeve level with the bolt.

i tried that already.i kept jacking the car up and down and had a jack stand under the control arm and nothing.the bolt is really suck to the sleeve inside the bushing.i can c the sleeve move back and fourth.

Put the car on jack stand. Use jack underneath the control arm. The spring is pushing down the arm, therefore use the jack.

Are you referring to bolts number 32(facing the disc brake) or 38?

You might try to use your ratchet/wrench to unwind the bolt.

you do know that what you are talking about is a sleeve. Unless it got bent somehow the bolt should slide out if lined up correctly. If it doesnt pull out I would suggest using a bar from the other sidde and hamering it out. Carefull though if the hole is not lined up the bar will get wedged also.

yes i do know its a sleeve. i mentioned it in my post.using a ratchet or wrench is the only way to take a bolt.so of course i did that already.like i said before the bolt is stuck to the sleeve.im gonna try heating up the bolt and sleeve and hopefully it comes out.if not im cutting the bolt off.

99CLK320,
If bolt 38 it to the outside, nearest the wheel, then you should remove 34. the control arm pivots from that point. there is no bushing to deal with there. that will allow the control arm to move down away from the body and release tension on the spring. There are some pics somewhere on this forum that show it. which ever bolt is on the inside is the one that needs to be removed I believe.

Why dont you loosen the axle nut, put the jack under #32 and loosen that bolt a lot easier then, #38

Babybenzzz 38 is the easiest.its the one located next to the diff.one bolt and its out.the other one has the sturt and another stabilizer bar connected to it.

It doesn't matter thatyour a tech have you've done this type of work on a w208.when does taken one bolt off harder compared to mutiple.if I take the axle bolt off and put a jack under #32 I still might have to take off the bolt to the strut and small control arm connected to it.ill stick to dealing with #38.everybody does it like that.

Make sure you have the nut off, put the jack right up to the lower control arm under the spring, jack it up a bit to support the spring tension and hit it out with a hammer from the end that had the nut. The bolt does not thread into the sleave but make sure it is lined up correctly or YOU WILL STRIP THE THREADS!
