wheels

All,
I have a 2001 CLK 320 stock. Anyone know if these wheels will fit without any mods? I am trying to locate a set of five spoke (FAT SPOKE) 17 INCH AMG's for my ride. These were off a E55 and have a 37 offset which I believe is to high If I am not mistaken. Help would be much appreciated!

Well, considering that's the stock CLK320 size it'll work. But the appearance isn't aggressive at all and I hate how the wheel sinks into the fender. Buying these will sort of defeat the whole purpose of getting new wheels other than the fact they're 1" larger in diameter.

I'd get 15mm spacer for a mildly aggressive setup (to take the offset to 35) or a 20mm-25mm spacer for a more aggressive look.

99CLK320,
If you put a 15mm spacer on a wheel with a 37mm offset that decreases the offset to 22mm and pushed the wheel out by 15mms. the lower the offset the further out the wheel. tirerack told me when I was looking into 18x8 wheels that I could go 32ET to 38ET. Those wheels should work ok. This isn't exactly the same wheel but you could do better http://www.oewheelsllc.com/Wheels-fo...-p5939675.html for the price he's asking on ebay.

Thanks for the advice. I have been out of the country and unable to view this site. I guess spacers would be a must to use those wheels from a cosmetic standpoint. I guess I would have to find a specialty store. It would be scary to have the guys at Mavis handle the spacers!

Thanks again,

R
