1999 CLK 320
![Question](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I think i might need to change my Crankshaft Position Sensor as my 99 clk320 is sometimes having a hard time starting. Turn the key once and the car starts and the dies immediately, wait a second and try it again and it starts fine. Today was a warm one 76 degrees out and it took 3 tries to start. I have looked at the "how to's" and it looks pretty easy to change. My question is which CPS to buy on Atohausaz's web site.

I looked for the serial # on the Motor but could not see it (back driver side by CPS) Any help would be great! Thanks

CPS Type
Look in your service booklet for the engine number. The part description at AutohausAZ wants to know if the CPS has one or two clip-on lock notches for the wire harness. You should be able to see or feel the clips.MY daughters '98 320 used 0261210141 -two clips.A trained Spider monkey will help to reach this little gem!

Thanks but I got the right part and installed yesterday and my problems seemed to be solved. I found that instead of trying to figure out the serial # i would just unplug it and look at the plug. Of course it was the 2 prong one which cost about 20 bucks more.
