2002 clk 320
catalytic converter
2002 CLK with 59K miles...MB garage said it is the cause of the rattle sound that is getting worse.
service mgr said it is a dealer only item and it will run $1,000 to replace?
i have also heard that the CAT is an issue with MB and the dealer MAY cover it....any truth to that?

If you drive city miles you wont' get as far with your cats, resonator and mufler as highway miles. Which cats are they talking about, front or back? Dealer only item? Bull****.
