2000 CLK 320
CLK 320 Problem
My sunroof and windows of my 2000 CLK 320 were left open and it rained for about 10 minutes. When I tried to start the car, the check engine light came on and it wouldn't start, but I managed to get the windows and sunroof to close. The dash and center console were soaked, but the seats and floor were dry. Any ideas? I'm afraid the ECM is fried, which I heard can be a costly fix.

99CLK320,
I don't know why it wouldn't start but you may have big problems with water getting down into the elec board below the gear shift. there's an old thread by someone who spilled coffee on his console and the car wouldn't shift etc. don't mean to freak you out but it could be a problem. I think there's a fix in the DIYs.
