Picking up my 1st Clk430 tomorrow.
I have been reading all of the threads today learning on how to fix all the problems the car I am picking up has. Can't wait to tap on the power seat motor and see the seat move. Got the radio code for it today. Going to try to stuff some CLS63 factory wheels under it once I get it home.
Here are the current problems but for what I paid, I still think I stole it. Feel free to post up any links on how to fix these problems.
AC is not cold. (going to try cabin filter and charge 1st)
Car needs new tires. (used tires to make the 5hr trip home)AMG wheels 2nd
Front bumper is cracked. (Try to repair)
Sunroof is not operational (hoping it's a switch)
Power windows are not working properly(fix regulator with screw and JBweld)
Driver seat not working in forward and backward direction(fuses#9, hammer)
Thank you very much can't wait to be a part of the community

So yesterday I got up at 5am to drive from basically Pensacola FL to Birmingham AL to pick up a sweet ride that I won on ebay. Here is the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...name=DCP:RV:GI
since I don't know if it will work here are a few pics.
The interior is pretty jacked up but mechanically perfect and clean as hell everywhere except the interior and no it was not detailed prior to me picking it up. Underneath the the car was really mint and already has H&R 1.4 drop springs. It rides and drives perfect and I got it up to 120 on the way home and it was smooooooth!! I love it and I really just wanted to flip it but it might be a keeper.
So this morning I got up at 7 and went to town on it. First thing pulled the door panel to find a twisted in half regulator. Easy fix Then I started on the outside by cleaning the wheels, and claybarring the exterior. It looked great afterwards but wasn't happy enough so I pulled it in the garage and wet sanded the whole car with 2000 grit, high speed buffed it, waxed it while my fiancée restored the headlights. It needs alot of work but more than anything needs an extreme cleaning and some electrical repairs.
Sorry about the crappy cell pic
If anyone is a mercedes tech plz pm me as this is the first on I have ever touched other than detailing

You got a great deal !!! the price you paid for on ebay is even lower than what the same car is averaging at a dealer auctions !!..... And all the miscellaneous problems your car has are minor on you clk !!!

I found a tread that might help you out link :https://mbworld.org/forums/clk-class...pair-info.html
There are many treads here and on google that can offer you help! Just type in your problems and just search and see !! Your problems are most likely easy fixes cause our cars relays rarely goes bad ... most of the time is bad contact like swicthes contact etc.
P.S try taping the driver side seat motor with a rubber hammer softly it might wake it up !!
