Gear box leak?
Hi all, I was changing my oils and as my car was in the air the guy told me that I the seal is bad in my gear box? He pointed to a box between the two rear wheels, I'm not sure if that's the gear box or what, but I saw the leak.
My question is: Is that really bad or can it wait until March 3rd when I have my appointment with the Mercedes dealer?

Any time you have a potential problem that you are unsure of how long you can wait to fix it, I recommend that you call your dealer's service department directly and ask them. Doing so would most likely provide you with the most accurate answer as well as protect you from liability since it would be MB themselves that would be telling you to wait.

You state "a box between the two rear wheels". This is the differential. How bad was the leak, was the surface just moist, or was it soaked with obvious drips forming? The lube used in diffs is pretty thick stuff, so I doubt you have lost much. Not sure about MB, but other diffs have a plug on the side which is used as a fill volume indicator. Your lube guy should have checked this for you when he showed you the leak.
