rear glass trim

The rubber between my rear glass and my roof is beat, and the plastic on the side of the glass is breaking off. Do i have to replace the glass or can I remove the trim on the rear window? pics are attached. Thank you.

Probably you need to remove the rear glass I am not sure and if so it might break. So I would recommend to remove the old seal with a razor and just add some black silicone around the trim and quickly use a wet sponge to smooth it out before it dries! I have done this method on my previously owned cars and it came out looking great !!
