Cabriolet wind deflector ?

So I was pretty sure that the wind deflector was an optional piece of equipment. However, I'm unsure what the retractable wind screen that retracts under the rear seat is for. Does it connect to an aftermarket wind screen?

Aftermarket wind screen? Such a thing doesn't exist.

Anyways, the blind that goes from the rear seats connects to a ridge on the front of the windscreen itself. I would assume it aids in the effectiveness of the air flow diversion.

I have had my 430 cab for over a year and I used the wind deflector once. LOL.
the first week I had it.

I dont even keep it in the trunk anymore. I got the top going up and down all the time and I also throw people in the back seats more then not.

I never drove fast with the wind deflector installed. I would like to know how well it actually works at decent high speed.

Maybe Ill put it back in the trunk

Link? All the ones I saw:

- looked like crap
- didn't even look like they used the factory mounts, not to mention they probably wouldn't work well with the blind that rolls up from the rear seat and the second one that connects to the rear seatbelt tensioner holes
- I'd guess they're not as efficient as OEM in terms of keeping the draft out.

It was well worth sniping eBay/Craigslist to get OEM.

Try it out for yourself.

I wouldn't say air flow is completely nil in the cabin top down with the deflector in place, but it cuts down wind flow/noise considerably to the point where I always try to keep it in my trunk.
