Anyone use their floor jack on the center subframe?

Using two floor jacks on the correct spots just behind the front wheels is a pain when you need to get the front end up, especially since that doesn't leave any decent spots to place the jack stands. I have not had a car which could not have the front end lifted from a single point. Just wondering if anyone uses a single floor jack placed on the front subframe member? The subframe is not perfectly flat, but looks strong enough and I can imagine mounting a jacking puck through the hole their (similar to the pucks the C5 and C6 corvette guys use).

It's pretty simple, if you know how to lift a car...just put bricks under both of the wheels. I wouldn't go under the car with two floor jacks, even with four jacks - there were so many horror accident stories about that. I am curious, why would you want to do this for?

Most cars i've had, you use a floor jack on the center subrame to get the car up, then place your two jack stands behind each wheel inbound on the frame structure. Then you can safely remove the floor jack and trust the jack stands. That is what I'd like to do with this car, but everything I've read indicates that the center subframe (see picture) is not a valid jacking spot(??).

I always use jack stands before crawling under a car, but with this car I'm not sure where people are placing their stands, and where they are using their floor jack to get the car up. You can't place a jack stand at the same place you use to floor jack the car up.... unless you have lightening fast hands.

99CLK320,
I place the jack under the front lower control arm then place the jack stand under the regular jack point just behind the from wheel.

You mean you lift the car with your floor jack on the area in my attached picture? It looks strong enough to me, especially with a 5 inch wide rubber lined jack pad.
