Changes on CLK's (430)?
Other than the major upgrades from 1999 to 2000 found on all the CLK's....have there been any other major changes on the CLK 430's, namely extorier styling? I believe I read somewhere the pre00 rims are different than the 00+ rims. I was wondering if this is in fact the case, and if so, where could I find pics of both?

outside of the mirror w/light & side marker on the actual fender, there isn't anything different on '99 CLK430s vs '00-'01 CLK430s
They both have the same type of rims, 17" staggered thin spoke AMG rims. however, the different CLK430 rims come into play for the '02 model year, where they are equipped with 17" staggered Ultra Thin Spoke AMG rims

chrome window trims are standard on all ELEGANCE models ranging through all engine types escept the 55 AMG. They also include bur walnut, soft suspension and greent tints too.
black window trims, birds eye maple, sport suspension and blue tint are standard on all AVANTGARDE model ranging out through all the engine types including the 55 AMG.

I think its safe to assume that the discussion here are mostly American based. Aside from that, the original poster's location is also indicated therefore the world designation of Classic, Elegance, and Avantgarde to all MB models rarely applies.

how about other changes between the 99 and 00 CLK 430 models?
here's what I have so far.
new in the 2000
- 5 speed automatic transmission (triptronic type shifter)
- turn signals on the side mirrors
