CRANK POSITION SENSOR

Hey does anyone have a good brand (reliable) name for a crank position sensor. I bought mine 4/26/10. and its going bad already. It has a 6 year warr. but didnt even make it 1/4 of the way to that. thanks.

Bosch or the dealership. Its not that expensive oem. Try autohausaz.com.

Before you go to the CPS repair, have you changed the gas filter yet or checked the gas line pressure?

yes, just had fuel filter and flush done. It started up after 15 minutes, Ive had this problem before, just dont remember which size socket to use.

It took a 7mm. And the easiest way to get to it was to slightly bend the heat shield back a little bit, to gain access to it. it took a little over 15 minutes.

use a 1/4" socket. 3/8 is too wide to slip onto bolt. I replaced 2 CPS before I had a pressure reading done on the rail and realized that it was a bad fuel pump. Replacement too all of 30 minutes.

6mm to be exact. Well we will see if it is the fuel pump, hope not though.
