Manuals aren't nearly as popular here as they are in Europe. High fuel costs there are the reason for manuals, also why Mercedes still uses so many diesel engines in Europe. On top of that, the 6-speed transmission can't handle very much torque, hence the reason the most powerful car with the 6-speed is the SLK320 with something like 215 horsepower. You could install the 6-speed in any current model with the 112 non-Kompressor V6 motor. Except the ML320, the transfer case wouldn't be able to bolt up.

Even though you didn't ask I'll answer. Yes, all you need is a SLK230/320 or C240 with the 6-speed, you can take it out of those cars and put it in the CLK320.

Yes, I could be able to install a 6-speed in a CLK320. You'd need more than just the transmission though. Things like a clutch pedal, an ME engine control unit calibrated for a manual, and also a European instrument cluster because the gear recognition display wouldn't be compatible with a manual transmission.

I'd rather not tell you which dealership I work at, except it's in the Los Angeles area, for privacy reasons. I'm afraid I don't know where you could get European parts, although I'm sure somebody else on the forum could help you out. I've just never had to shop for European parts before.
