Tranny fluid change - pan bolt torque?
At 42,000 miles, I dropped the pan (cold engine (should have been warm I guess)), changed the seal and filter, loosely tightened the pan bolts - I got out exactly 3 liters fluid. Then I put 4 fresh liters of the good stuff back in, removed the hose on the passenger side (radiator to tranny), started engine, stopped engine at first sputter from hose, got 3 more liters out this way. Added 2.6 liters more of the good stuff. Has perfect level on the ebay dipstick now, and shifts like a dream! Just wondering what the exact torque should be on those pan bolts...

Check out this thread at post #144. It goes through a complete fluid change for transmissions without a torque converter drain plug.
I guessed at the torque for the pan bolts at 10 ft.#. I wouldn't go any less and no more than 15 ft.#. The key is to make them even.
