Parktronic

You should be able to get all the parts from Steve (MBenzNL). For the OEM parktronic, you'll need the impact strips with the holes, the sensors, the dash indicators, the switch, a different wood panel for the shifter surround, and maybe a couple of other pieces (I'm just naming stuff off the top of my head). Get in touch with Steve at s_krabbenborg@hotmail.com and he can tell you what you need. He'll be in the states in July (I think) and if you're somewhere on his route, you can probably have him install it for you.

...I just about have everything complete for the parktronic upgrade in my W202 C250D (the last missing switch in my dash kept bugging me)...
To do the complete front an rear upgrade, it will end up expensive...Mercedes sells complete kits for the rear though (no need for a switch and different woodpanel)...which is a lot cheaper (but still expensive).
greetingz,

$30 Parktronic Alternative
I pickup this item from eBay for $30. It is called "AutoPark 2000".
All you need to do is run the wires under the license light, tap the reverse light wires and put the speaker in the car.
It will beep when the car is in the reverse gear and an object is within its range.
Regards

I like in the UK and most cars have parktronic, have just bought a second hand car and it doesnt. To fit in England is around $4000 in parts so I am looking for a cheaper way to fit the system, Realy want the original system though !

also more details of same product from:
http://www.parkingsensors.co.uk/taurus.htm
It works well as long as it's mounted behind the rubbing strip - that entails removing the rear bumper assembly. Took me most of a Saturday morning to install, but the effort was worth it. Has the benefit of no ugly drilled sensor holes too. On the odd occasion, there may be a spurious beep, however this may be to adjustment. The sensitvity can be adjusted and mine starts beeping at 0.5 metres with a continuous tone at 150mm.
There are other systems under review at :
