Urgent Help
okay here is the situation...I got my rim rebent into place finally and I put it on myself the lugs aren't torqued but I am getting new tires in 3 days so I figured why worry. My lugs ARE tight though but my tires tread is very low....My problem is this...My abs and esp systems both failed....is it safe to drive the car? Any advice suggestions. I am afraid to drive it to mercedes

well, yes, it is SAFE to drive the car, even though it doesn't have ABS or ESP.... consider all the other cars out there on the street that don't have ABS or ESP programs...
so, don't worry. just drive defensively, and carefully... don't race or anything.
if you need to bring the car in to the dealer to get the abs & esp fixed, then you can always have them tow the car to the dealer... just use your SOS button, or Call Mercedes roadside service...

oh, and by the way, make sure you really tighten the bolts....
Don't over torque it, but make sure they are tight before you drive on them... and if the dealer is just a matter of miles (say, under 30 miles?), then i don't think your tread really really matters... unless your tires look like slicks

thanks just got off the phone with the dealer he said that it was most likely because of the tires so I should just take it and get them changed and if the lights stay on then I should take it to mb service...thanks for your help
