Level Headlights

Those of you who have lowered you cars, did you have your headlights realligned after the car settled? Seems like my low beams are low.

Yes, in Japans version of DMV they have a digital machine that they use to adjust to proper levels for both Headlights and Fogs. Not sure how it's done back in US.

Another problem I had was the self leveling was not properly on which caused the low beams to drop very very low. Once I put it back in place I was good to go.

Yeah, you need to get them readjusted.

Most likely, the mechanism you use to adjust the headlights up/down has gotten brittle and broken; at least, that's how mine were. Don't know if the dealer can fix the part itself or are just going to replace the whole assembly.

99CLK320,
twin, if I remember correctly there is a small white wheel notched on the outside that looks like it would be used to adjust the lights. don't want to start turning it without knowing which way and how many clicks to go.

On my heads the knobs are black. You would have to use a wide flathead screwdriver or a quarter or something.

IIRC, the innermost adjusters closest to the grille are for vertical adjustment and the outers are for horizontal adjustment.
