Disecting the AC Control unit

for 3 hours I tried dismantling and disecting the AC Control unit to replace its blown bulbs but cannot seem to pass a 3mm clearance when clips have been unclipped :-( I have un hooked all the teeth but it just wouldn't open up fully. I'm afraid id break something because it cost around $200 bucks :-( any help and info would be much appreciated :-)

hey vip, thanks again. I was able to pop the rotary switches out and was able to change the blown bulbs on the dials. but I still cannot access the button light bulbs for the circ, EC and rear defog. I'll try ebay again as you've suggested.

Oh by the way, a crucial tip on replacing the peanut bulbs on the AC Control unit - take note that the AC Control unit button and dial light bulbs only light up when the ignition key is in ON position or if the engine is running. Turning on the park lights alone will not activate the AC Control unit dial and button lights.

yes thats correct, because the AC/heater is not powered until ignition is on second position or the engine is running.
