99 CLK 430, 99 E320

Power seats don't work right. Ideas/

My 1999 CLK430 has a problem with the power seats or adjusting buttons. The buttons either don't work at all or work backwards! Tried the re-teach procedure in the manual a few times with no results. Anyone have any ideas?
