Hi guys! Recently, I've had a problem with the car (CLK230) stuttering under acceleration. Sometimes it just keeps stuttering, and the revs wont rise, so I back off for a second, other times it stutters for a second, and then accelerates away. I've had this problem before, but only when its been extremely warm outside. The last 2 days, after stopping, the car hasn't started for a little while, and then last night, the car actually died while driving, and then wouldn't start for an hour or so. Any ideas? Could it be the fuel pump?

have you had any check engine lights recently? i would guess fuel pump or your EGR valve

Could be fuel pump...check pressure at the rail before replacing.
I believe that it might be the CPS...dies when hot/restarts when cool.
Do a search for CPS crank position sensor...sounds like these symptoms.
