EC Button Stuck on after freo leak
Gosh I hope this all makes sense.......... this is my first post. HELP!
Greg
First i want to say that if you have a leak its most likely from your Low pressure hose (Bigger Hole) on the AC compressor. The 0 Ring seal that the dealer gives is purple and its the wrong seal. Dont think its correct because its wrong. IT SHOULD BE EITHER GREEN or BLACK. Mine was Green from the Original COmpressor but the new One i got was BLACK. It should be almost twice as thick as the purple one and it should be just slightly bigger. Berely NOTICBLE. TRUST ME it should not be purple.
ANYWAY. ... back to the EC LIGHT. So after spending 3 days trying to fix the leak and trying to figure out what the deal is my EC like was stuck. So i read online and this is what worked for me. TURN on the car. Go to your climate control and set driver side to blow LOW and Passenger side to blow HI. then press and hold for a second or two the EC and REST buttons. The light will dissapear and your AC will kick in. Wether this is a solving problem for the long run . I dont know because It worked for me three starts later without having to bypass it like that. I did it today so I dont know but for now its working fine.
Hope this helps.
