Stuttering with no power, choking?
Just recently my car has been stuttering with no power when I put my foot down. If I drive very gently and notjust touch the gas pedal a little I can get it to drive, but as soon as I push it further it chokes as if theres a blockage and has no power.
I have had this once before and mangaged to remedy it by using ignition cleaner that you put in the petrol and so I have put some in yesterday to see if it clears.
Other thoughts are:
I haven't changed my spark plugs since 2009, they are irridiums though and last a few years I was told but would a failing one cause this behaviour.?
Is this a bad MAF behaviour, however the car idles fine?
Internal exhaust collapsing?
Ignition back failure?
Old Fuel filter?

Found the issue was a dirty MAF, cleaned off grease build up and all was back to normal!

I had these same symptoms and it turned out to be the throttle position sensor. It would accelerate normally if i slowly pressed the pedal but if I pressed harder it would slooooooooooooooowly accelerate

My car now feels electric, I think the new fuel filter, cleaned throttle body and cleaned MAF has made a significant difference and the car feels strong and responsive all the way through the revs, faster then i've known for ages!
