Trunk

Hi guys, my trunk was hit and it has to be replaced. What other options do I have other than the stock trunk? How is the fitment of the aftermarket trunk and how much is it?

Thanks,

Solihin

If your refering to a trunk deck or lid, stick to factory.

Any particular reason why?

For one I do not believe such a low production deck is even available in a reproduction. If it is and you save a few bucks, you taking a chance with an unknow item. Your also put in question the integrity of the car in the event of an accident. Each panel is designed to perform in a given pattern in the event of an accident. I am not sure reproduction panels require the same design.

Why not call a salvage yard and get a used original panel rather that buy a new replica?

I am not looking for a replica trunk. I am looking for an aftermarket one, like Carlsson or Lorinser. Im not sure whether Carlsson has trunk lid for the W208.

THanks,

Solihin

I've actually never seen an aftermarket trunk lid for the CLK... they have accessories like deck lids, spoilers, etc... but I've need seen an aftermarket trunk lid... you might be able to have one custom made, but never seen a widely marketed aftermarket trunk lid.
