Intermittant Rough Idle Problem...????

2001 Mercedes CLK430
Intermittant Rough Idle Problem...????
Hey guys i have a 2001 CLK 430 and recently it has had a idle problem that is very strange.
The car starts and runs perfect however once every few days i will come to a stop and the car will start to shake and have a very rough low idle. Then for a split second when i take off it will hesitate and then be back to normal for a few days.
Anyone have any ideas ?
The only thing i can think of is befor it started doing it i had to slam on my brakes and i accidently hit the shifter into reverse while i was still going fowared. But given the electric trans of the car it wouldnt shift into reverse and i cant see it been the problem.
