I am picking up my first benz saturday. After making sure everything is mechanically sound, what is popular to upgrade first? The PO put on some wheels on that I don't care for at all, so I'm looking to find a nice set of OEM wheels. After that I was thinking flat hood emblem and grill, plus headlights. Any typical issues I should look for though?

Definitely get some h&r sport springs and if you want, bilstein shocks.
JB speed has great flat emblems! I recently purchased a few. In order:
maybe new projector headlights... with an HID kit to keep that visibility, a new front end will really update the car.. Look up the prior design bumper for the w208, its pretty sweet. Im going to try and do a group buy for that bumper so if your interested PM me..

Thanks for the info, I like the flat emblems a lot. It has HID's, he says, but the lights are all fogged over and look pretty bad.

There's some single-din cd player in it. Is it a big hassle to install a factory nav system? Something like this:

I've wondered about that head unit myself, but unfortunately no-one on these boards have been able to independently verify if they really fit or how they work. Nor are there any user reviews anywhere on the web.

Any info on guage cluster light color changes, such as factory to a soft blue or white? Or the guage background from black to white with more vibrant colors? Seems a lot of people have extensive issues with the guage clusters and the digital display, but I was just looking to changethe color for a more modern look, similar to the slk's background.

someone else may be able to provide more info on changing dash colors, but from I understood, it involves a lot of painstaking LED replacement work.
