2001 CLK320 Headliner Trim
The plastic trim (bezel) that is attached to the interior headliner of my convertible top is pulling away from the frame around the rear window on one side. Several of the tabs that anchor it to the window frame have broken off. In addition, during top operation, the headliner fabric is pulling toward the front of the car, putting further strain on the remaining tabs.
Has anyone encountered these same problems, and are there any suggested remedies, short of buying and installing a new headliner?
Thanks for any advice.

I am having the same problem. I went to a repair shop and they said that they would have to replace the whole thing ($1300) because the molding strip comes attached to the lining. There must be a better way!

I'm taking mine car to an interior shop next week. They'll first attempt to glue in place; if that doesn't work, either small screws or rivets into the alum track around the rear window. Will let you know the outcome. No one else has responded to the posting with ideas.

I didn't try the glue because the cost was 250.00 with no guarantee. I am interested in finding just the trim without purchasing the whole liner. Have you researched that?
