Super charger issue not working , 'Valve reset'?
I noticed today that my supercharger did not seem to be working , as there was no whine I could hear and the distinctive 'pull' and big increase in speed was not noticable. This happened when I started the car and raced off straight away as I was chasing a freind, but strurggled to make distance as the supercharger was not working.! otherwise the car behaved and drove fine, just slower.
When I got home after 20mins I had to go back out again, but now the car was back to normal with the supercharger whinning away and pullin hard as normal?>
I've had a look at the forums and it seemed that perhaps a throttle reset is needed which I can do, but I also read that a 'Valve Reset' would be an idea, does anyone know what this is and how to do it?
Second point, I noticed once when I cleaned the MAF there was some light oil on the sensor and in the pipe work, which after I cleaned the sensor I found the car run much better, has anyone else find this?.
Lastly, Is there a noise you here when the supercharger is engaged at first for about 1-2 secs a kind of rattle noise near the air filter?
Thanks

I didn't do it. I'm just trying to help someone who might be thinking to do it on his own. I probably would have done it if I had this list......

There are some threads on this issue. After some miles the engine ventings get clogged (there are some under the inlet, hard to get to). I just had mine replaced (some of the parts were redesigned by MB so it would work better). It's a good thing to do because the MAF won't last forever when exposed to oil vapour. Cleaning it won't do magic forever.
