I'm looking for a version 2 (selectable) sprint booster. where is the best place to buy one at a good price? or if someone is getting rid of theirs i'm willing to buy or do a swap for strut bars.

I did some searching and it turns out the first gen had two types the AMG model and none AMG, which te difference was that the none AMG was more aggressive and the AMG model was less excuse the AMG cars already came with more responsive pedals. But even at that you can use a amg SB on a none amg car and viscera. But on the gen 2 from my understand there is no difference as it is the same for amg and none amg models because it's is selectable. So the off position would be oem spec, sport or green position would be equal to the gen 1 amg model and second position race or red would me equal to the none Amg which is the most aggressive and sensitive.

99CLK320,
Ash, when I ordered my second generation SB I got it from their website. I could not find another vendor with a better price. But that has been a couple years ago. http://www.sprintbooster.us/Mercedes_Boosters.html
P.S. did you get my email response to your question about Vogtland springs?

I just told my shop to be prepared that I may potentially be doing something that involves a supercharger in my 320. You know what I'm talking about. Been so busy was not able to put that in the mail of what we discussed but after receiving a phone call from my shop this evening they said they needed that to put on their car. I thought they were junking that car and just using parts. I'm really sorry bro. It was all boxed up sitting in the car waiting to be shipped. The only thing I have left that I can offer you is my old leather two tone front seats. You would probably have to take it to a shop to restitch the seams and redye the leather. My two tone interior was not offered as an option in the US.

Don't evey worry about it. Ya let them know that what we talked about is gonna be heading down there hopefully in the next few months. So it's time for them to man up and get that conversion done.

Excellent question! Do a search on both this forum and the other forum and you'll find many threads talking about this. SB's own website clearly states no hp gains, what it does is make the car feel quicker with faster throttle response time because the cars use an electronic throttle.
There are a few who swear it makes their cares truly faster but the majority say no, it's just a feel, not reality. Sort of like the hot babe at the bar who's just a tease, ya know?

If its no quicker then it just sounds like it compresses the throttle response, not sure if I'd want that.

Someone told me to look at it like this.
Take two same Manual Transmission cars. The person who shifts the quickest time will be faster. HP is the same but the 0-60 or 1/4mile times will be slower/faster.

If that is true, then there should be some empirical data (lap or 0-60 measurements) to back it. I'm just curious! I guess I'll try to find if anyone has done tests with the same car.

There is absolutely no HP gains, how ever a more responsive throttle will shave time off your track lap, that is a given fact because when you come out of turns the faster your throttle reacts to the command that your foot is giving te pedal te faster you will bring your speed up. Which in turn even if 1/2 sexing more responsive on a 10 lap 6 turn track, well you do the math. Also this will allow the car to be handled better specially f you like to power slide in and out of turns and there are those wide corners tht you will have to power through and let te speed keep you grounded and carry you through the corner, so the faster you can bring your speed up the better you are. If you like tracking your car and drie it very enthusiastically then this is for you but if just drie your car as a daily driver and don't care about how your cars feedback and reactions are to your commands then this will be the biggest waste of money. I hope that helped clear thing a bit. I have driven a Porsche aroun a track with the SB on an with the SB off and it make a a very noticeable difference.
