Transmission shifting problems & CEL today.
Within last 24 Hrs., vehicle is showing the following symptoms. I think the symptoms occurred in the following order.
1. Trans jerked into gear 3 or 4 times.
2. Would not allow manual down shift--just stayed in "D".
3. Stayed in higher gear after stop at light, making for slow acceleration.
4. CEL light has come on.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks
this morning before work, I pulled the TCM from the vertical foot well, pealed the cover off, removed the circuit board and squirted the board and connectors with electric cleaner, then compressed air. I was quite clean to begin with, but gave it a cleaning anyway.
I have a multiplexer, so I can clear the P0715 code. Cleared the code and CEL light has not reappeared. Drove vehicle to work today. Every time I restart, the vehicle behaves normally at first, then after the trans warms up, lose ability to downshift, and pulls away from lights in 4th gear. Yet, at every shut down and restart, the vehicle performs normally for a good while. Weird.
I think I'm going to order the conductor plate. Parts.com has it as OEM MB for about $150. Ebay has OEM for about $120, but I am always a bit skeptical of the OEM stuff on ebay--that it is less OEM and more Chinese commie knock-off.
Can anyone verify that the conductor plate comes with the speed sensor installed ?
PS. I'm really tired of sliding around under my vehicle on a creeper. Wish I had a lift. My own lift--we can dream, can't we?

Yes a new conductor plate come with the sensors. I replaced mine about a year ago, I also bought it off of ebay and didn't have any issues.
When I dropped conductor plate I also took the valve body assembly out and inspected the solenoids and valves. (I basically gave it a good cleaning, also be mindful of the ball bearings, if you lose one your....!)
Just remember to perform the adaptation for the ME & EGS after you put everything back together.
If your gonna replace it I would also recommend you replace the filter and gasket if you haven't done that already.
It takes about 3.5 hrs to do everything.
Hope this helps
