Question for CLK OWNER......

My 02' clk320....... I got a rocking (rough idle) when the car is at park position or stop at the red light. it's not a lot but u can feel it rocking. Brough it to the dealer they told me all clk have that rocking during idle..but it doesn't feel right....even a Honda civic doesn't have that problem... so, I wonder it just my clk or anyone els have the same problem....??

thanks

myself and Josh had a similar if not the same problem.... my route, I had the dealer adjust the idle RPM, and that helped a little.

Josh on the other hand, at the recommendation of Ben, got some fuel injection cleaner, and that helped Josh in his scenario. I believe Ben suggested Red Line injection cleaner....

By the way, Ben, could this rough idle be caused by using cheap fuel? or for that matter, non-premium octane fuels?

I bough my brand new it happen since then..and I always use super unlead (91)...this is my second times brough it in....the first time they said the engine mount problem. replaced the engine mount problem still there..second time they said they check, no error code and no miss firing found with the computer system and end up they told me all clk are the same with rough idle. so, I just want verify with all the CLK owners in forum is this true. I might end up going back for the thirt time....

The dealer is incorrect.

You may need a new Mass Airflow Sensor.

Had the same problem, it was the MAS. After it was replaced, idles fine now.

can't be worse than my dad's 96 XJ12 which the tech has to adjust every thing by hand. Say hello to the 30 yr old V12...

Had the same problem here. Heck just yesterday I was contemplating it. It felt to me like it was the spark plugs, but just in case I just so happened to let the gas run out til the gas light came on. I then added some Fuel injector cleaner and WALA! Good as new.......for me.

Have you tried the fuel injection cleaner solution??? Give that a try and report back... it won't hurt and its not that expensive...
