Help with suspension

I have the 01 CLK430 and have been running 19x8.5 fronts x 9.5 rears with H&R sport springs. I did not change my shocks until today (Bilstein Sports) as well as replaced the pads to the w210 #1 pads all around.

What I noticed is the rear drop is significantly lower than the front, and the passenger side in the front is higher than the drivers. (For Front drivers side, steering column adds weight so most likely the reason for a lower drop?)

Ive been reading other members posts and it seems the drop with the #1 pads all around are pretty even.

What are the possible reasons for my current situation??

Ps the Bilstein Sport shocks and the H&R sport springs.... Make a Amazing Combo. The drive is not much bumpier than stock and feels actually smoother.

99CLK320,
If you just changed the shocks let the car settle into them. If the only thing that you changed is the shocks and the car was level before you added them be patient. I believe that H&R springs give you a little lower stance in the back. My budro ghostrider has H&R his rear sets low. Not so w/Vogtland that I have.

I just changed the shocks yesterday and swapped out the pads with the w210 #1 pads all around.
I will wait and hopefully it settles. Rear sitting lower is fine with me but the difference from the fromt passenger side and drivers side bothers me.

Thanks for your help!!

The pads that were in before were the clk pads: 1 dot front, 3 dot rear. My drop was even, however after I swapped them with the w210 #1 pads all around the Front is higher than rears and the front passenger side is noticeably higher than drivers side.

is it possible that during assembly, the top coil of the spring popped out of the
spring pad indentation, thus propping that corner up a scootch higher ?

just a thought

Like everyone else said, give it a couple weeks to a month to let your suspension settle back in.

If it's still sitting uneven, could be:

- that the end of the springs aren't sitting flush against the stop on the pads
- your stock rear pads were higher than your fronts, so you may need to stick with 1 & 3s to maintain a level ride
- possible that your front and rear shocks got mixed up?
