How do you check the oil on the 99 CLK320
I recently acquired a 99 320 with the purchase of my house and it leaks a little oil. I have searched the boards but can't find anything about navigating the menu on the dash if you don't have the steering wheel buttons. One of my friends got to the menu where it tells you how much oil is in the vehicle but they can't figure out how they did it. I have pushed the buttons holding them etc. but still can't get past the language selection part. I wish this car had a dipstick. If all else fails I will have to buy a manual, it didn't come with one.

"I wish this car had a dipstick." It does. As you face the engine on the left there is a red plastic ring. Pull it up.
Also, in my 99/320 owners manual on page 106 under Multifunction Indicator: Turn electronic key in steering lock to position 2 and wait until the message "display oil level?" appears in the multifunction indicator(dash). Within 1 second press button 0 (its on the left under the + and - buttons) twice. The follwoing messages are available: OIL LEVEL OK, ADD 1.0 Q OF OIL, ADD 1.5 Q OF OIL, ADD 2.0 Q OF OIL.
You will get one of those messages and act accordingly. Good luck!
