This seems too good to be true. Did this belong to anyone in here? 19" Brabus, Lorinser exhaust and low miles for $26.9k? That seems way underpriced to me. Must have a salvage title or something.

Just thought I'd share.

sad to say, but the used luxury auto market has taken a hit... and yea, the coupes don't hold the value as much as the cabs, partly due to supply... well, that and the new model change

.............Actually in one of these publications that rate resale value, the CLK actually was 2nd or 3rd in holding its value. There is a big difference in resale value between pre-2000 and post-2000 CLk's. The former usually sell for much less because things like lack of steering wheel control, and anbscence of Comand etc.

True, ALG (Automotive Lease Guide) did infact rate the CLK as the luxury car or luxury sport car that retains the highest resale value.... however, this is mainly attributed to the Cabriolet keeping those values up.

Here is the 2002 assessment:
Compact Car: Mini Cooper
Midsize Car: Volkswagen Passat
Near Luxury Car: BMW 3 Series
Luxury Car: Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class

Minivan: Honda Odyssey
Sub Compact SUV: Honda CR-V
Compact SUV: Acura MDX
Fullsize SUV: Toyota Sequoia
Compact Truck: Toyota Tacoma
Fullsize Truck: Toyota Tundra

Oh, and for all those who are deciding between a 3-series & a CLK... look above... they are two different classes of cars...
