2000 clk 430 convertible leak
I have a 2000 clk 430 and when it rains i have water leaking through the driver and passenger side. Does anyone have any solutions, or has anyone ever had this problem. any information would be appreciated.

I Tested it today with a water hose it looks like the water comes in through the convertible top. It took a good amount of water to get it to start dripping in.
I just purchased the car (private seller) we thought originally it was the side seals but it does not look that way.
I was thinking I could use a water repellant on the top. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
I took it to two different people that work on tops but they both told me I should change the top. I'm thinking they both said that just to make money. Hopefully there is a cheaper permant fix.
