Lug Nut Question

Does the length of our lug nuts matter (fronts only)?

I recently swapped out my 17" monoblocks with replica 18" LM5s. I know for the rears I need to use shorter lugs in order to not affect the e-brake. Would I run into any problems if I used the stock lugs for the fronts (w/ LM5s)?

Thanks in advance.

Go with 5x112 30 or 35mm and you'll be fine. You will more than likely have to get what's called the conical/tapered, which is for after market wheels. Factory wheels use ball/acorn style bolts(it's a half ball where it makes contact with the wheels). The fronts you can go long and it doesn't matter but the rears you have to get exact size because if it's too long the end of the bolts will hit the e-brake shoes.

how bad is it if you can hear it click, hitting the ebrake shoes? My rear wheels have been doing that recently...

@ VIP, thanks! I was thinking the same thing but need confirmation.

@jkiddd, it's BAD. Initially I had the stock lugs on the rear and the car would not move at all. Hopefully I didn't damage my e-brakes.
