Noob scheduled maint question

I have a '01 CLK55 that is about to go for its B service. The brakes have been squealing when stopping for a short time - time replace the pads maybe? Assuming that it is, is that included in scheduled maintenance?

Thanks.

Brakes are a wear and tear item and are not included in scheduled maintenance.

Does 25k miles sound about right for brake pad life? Too long, too short?

it really depends on your style of driving.. the more aggressive the less mileage you'll get.

25,000 is pretty good for a CLK... most driver will get under 20,000 in a benz because the pads are real real soft.... thats their way of preventing the breaks from squeling...

so far, i have about 21,000 on my pads... i think i can get a few thousand more...
