2001 CLK 320 Elecrical Problem
Where to begin... Been recieving a lamp out warning. All bulbs are good, all fuses good. Just discovered that when I hit the brake pedal, the two lights on the front bumber next to the headlights come on. Just replaced a brake light switch recently to fix an ABS warning light problem (that didn't take care of it by the way). Also just discovered that reverse lights are out and my license plate light goes on sporadically. Told the dealer about it, they said it might be a headlight switch problem and that they would need to put it on the computer which was done. 10 codes came up (P0201, P0204, p0202, p0203, p0204, p0205, p0206, P0410, p0412, P0446, and P0443) None relate to a lamp or switch all relate to Injector circuit and secondary air injection system Engine seems to be running fine. Pulled out the trunk lid liner to see if there was any loose or damaged wires as well as thewire harness that enters the trunk lid. No breaks detected however did find a wire connector on the drivers side trunk lid that looks like it leads to the reverse lights that was not connected. Looked for a connector harness for this wire and found nothing and no where to plug it in.
At my wits end. Have an inspection coming up and can just see $$$$$$$ in expense to get this thing to pass. It's a beautiful car in great physical shape but not worth putting too much money in it. Any ideas?
