clk 55 amg command center issue HELP
Evening all,
So I have 2004 CLK 55 AMG conv, i bought the car last year and have had nothing but problems ever since.
The problem currently is that i get this command coming up on the sat nav screen
'caution please start engine otherwise COMMAND will shut down in 3 seconds'
Now the problem is i get this message while im driving along!?
the only way to stop it shutting down is to put my accelerator flat down and it goes off for a few minutes then comes back.
If i just ignore it it turns the sat nav off then warning lights for ABS ESP and BAS along with coolant level come on.
I got to work this morning and it happened again. I parked the car up now it wont start again unless i jump start it. but within second the warning flashs up.

You'll have better luck in the w209 section but my best guess would be you have a charging issue. COMMAND will give that warning with a voltage drop. Reving the engine will spin a dying alternator enough to boost output temporarly. With the car running you should take a voltage reading across the terminals. Anything lower than ~13 volts and you have a charging problem causing your other issues.
