How to get to amp in 2002 clk430 convertible
Greetings everyone,
I just recently purchased a 2002 clk430 convertible. I love the car it runs great but when i got it all the speakers were blown and from what i was told the amp is bad also. I have replaced the head unit and the door speakers (thanks to this forum). But i have been looking all over this site and many others on how to get to my amp and i cant seem to find instructions on how to get to it anywhere. Has anyone changed there amp themselves and if so how did they get to it. I know it between the back seat and the trunk and i started to take out all the pins in the carpet on the trunk but all that is there is a big metal plate. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

What are you trying to do? You replaced the head unit with what? door speakers with OEM?? If your planning an after market system, dont worry what amp is there and go with what your new system needs. Your OEM setup will need specific add ons to mix with aftermarket if you are straying from the Bose balanced signal and 2ohm speakers. You can do it easy enough but you'll need to do your homework on this one.
