question on rotors and pads

Will be replacing my rear rotor and pads soon. Has anyone used the Bosch
Quiet Cast rotors sold by Autohauz? They are plated to help prevent corrosion and have a backing to eliminate squeaking. At ~$30 they seem like a deal.

Anyone using Akebono ceramic pads? No dust, long life, easy on rotors
is the claim?

Any advice greatly appreciated

99CLK320,
I used Porterfield R4-S pads. Kinda pricy but low/minimal dust. Have not used the rotors you are speaking of. Why are you only replacing the backs only?

I just bought the car, only 31K original miles! The fronts are done and but the rears have a lip and though the pads are still at 50% are making some noise so I thought I would replace them. This car sat for 6 months at a time when owner was overseas... I have only driven it 150 miles so far and the rear brakes seem to be improving. I think they were a bit corroded due to sitting...

Aekebono Ceramics are great! Just replaced them on my 208 all around. Good stopping power as well as very minimal dust.

99CLK320,
Aekebono Ceramics I may try those next however tirerack.com only gives them 3 out of 5 points for stopping power. The fronts are shot with only 31K(?) or are you saying thats what you bought the car with and now you have driven more? Not trying to give you a hard time. I just find it hard to believe the rotors are shot at 31K. I suppose they could be if the car was driven really hard.
