How about we go one step further. I want to "ideally" take a steering wheel from a newer sl or cls One that has the 135degree angle or squared look on the bottom instead of being rounded all the way. One with the paddle shifters or the buttons and take that and modify it to fit the W208 clk 55 amg. This is a project I have on the list somewhere as we all know when there is a will there is a way and hopefully someone is on the same page as me with this idea.
Also while on the topic of steering wheels. I really don't understand why the 02clk55 Only has the steering wheel that is telescopic instead of 4 way. Considering its manual and not electronic anyone think its possible to swap the assembly from a 02 c230k w/ the manual 4 way?
and it goes on in on....
I am also looking to start a club in the denver metro area for w208's if not all mercs so if anyone is interested PM me

2011 G55 AMG paddleshift kit
Hi Guys,
Apologies in advance, if I'm asking this question in the wrong forum.
I'm interested in installing paddle shifters in my 2011 G55 AMG and would like to know how to go about getting the kit(s) you've designed.
My car doesn't have shift buttons on the steering wheel, so Im guessing it will be a fresh install. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Zitere

Not sure about your specific g55, but some built around that time already have most of what is needed (available ports for paddles in N135) and will recognize the paddles (once plugged in) in the SCM (steering control module) .... and then the paddles should work after changing the transmission coding. If you want to send me your VIN (email me at latemodel21@yahoo.com), I could try to give you some info that is more specific to your G55.
Chris
