Do theses bulbs fit any place on my clk?

Hello all.

So someone sent me these by mistake with another order, told me I can just keep them since it was a mistake. Different shape than I have seen so I was wondering if anyone knew if they would fit anyplace on the car?

No big deal if they dont because they were free. Someone may know more anout these than me.

Thanks either way.

It looks like you couls use them in your dashoard, as the 2 main illumination lights. remove the dash by pulling it out (No screws) and at the back there are 2 yellow bulb twist holders. Remove these and you will find two 5w filament bulbs that pull out of the holder, insert your nice led ones and off you go.!

Hmmm,, you mean the bulbs that light the gages? Interesting. I would like to get confirmation before I start messing with the dash. Can't believe it just pulls out. Seems like they would but a stew someplace. Can anyone confirm?

Thanks.

Yes the cluster does just pull out. I would recommend purchasing the cluster removal tool Found here or at your dealer (believe it or not dealer is cheaper)

or fabricating one out of coat hangers. The light install is super easy you dont have to take the cluster apart its a brain dead job. YES, you can use LED bulbs in the place of your old ones and NO they will not throw a malfunction code.

Well that's nice to know. Maybe sometime this weekend or next I will pull the dash out and take a peak at the bulbs to see if they will do the trick.

Thanks for the replies guys.
