Meh, W208 lines look better in gloss paint. Magma Red on a 208 is my fav.

Good luck and take pics -- might turn out better than I envision.

It's only a mess to remove if improperly applied. You must apply at least 6 coats.

ehhh not sure bout that one. Put it on my wheels over a year ago and its still a won't come off. on the plus side, I used it on my grille and the same is true.

and anyway as others have said, this car is not one that looks good in matte colors.

It's all about personal taste. I prefer gloss paint because it helps highlight the curves of the car. I think matte looks good on the right vehicle, and maybe you're right that it will look good on yours. Whatever ya do, post pics

White CLK550
Can't wait to see the pics! I just matte blacked my spoiler, rear badging, and hood vent on my w209.I thought about dipping my w209 matte white but then decided against it because it just didn't seem like it was the right type of car.

Also, the op is right about plasti dip being easy to remove if you apply it right... If your base isn't thick enough it's hard as hell to get off but if you apply enough coats it comes off remarkably easy!

@mrfrijita1989 you probably didn't apply enough coats to the wheels. The best way to get plasti dip off if you don't have enough coats is to apply extreamly thick coats and let it dry. Then it should be very easy to peel off because the new plasti dip you added will bond with the old stuff.

It's definitely a possibility. It was my first time using the stuff. Kind of gave up on it because for some reason it would not stick to the polished lip of one of my wheels. Might give it another try soon, though I'm still not a big fan of blacked out cars (mine is black).
