Convertible won't retract.. Checked fuses, what next?
Hey everyone, I'm mostly on a different board for cl's, but we also have a clk430 in the family and it's acting up.
Basically nothing happens when you press the button to retract the top. I checked the fuses and they all looked fine, so I was wondering what to check next.
There is no noise at all when pressing the retract button.
What do you thing would be the next check?
Thanks!

2013 FIAT Abarth 500
limit switch, low hydro fluid, relay, dead valve block, dying pump, leaking cylinder...list goes on
trunk shut and luggage cover extended, right? check the relay first since that's the most common thing to go.

It's my girl's car so I'm not to familiar with how the system works.
I wouldn't think that a dying pump, leaking cylinder, or low hydro fluid would be the issue. It's not making any noise or even attempting to retract- so I'd say it's an electrical fault for sure..
Where are the relays? How do you test them? Just have to swap in a known working one to rule out the old one?
THANKS!

Relay location for convertible hydraulic pump, plus DIYs for access
nidyanazo,
The relay for the pump is right next to the pump. It's a bit painful to get access to the pump. Not difficult to do, but requires removal of a number of bolts and clips. You can check the fluid level at the same time. If the pump's electric motor hasn't blown any 40A fuses yet, then it is probably okay.
Here is a good DIY that includes access to the pump: http://www.tophydraulicsinc.com/W208...eplacement.pdf

2007 E350 sedan panoramic sunroof syncronization
My panoramic sun roof is not working properly and stops. The owners manual talks about pulling the fuse and then syncronizing the sunroof and sliding interior cover. The fuse panel does not have a chart and I need to know which fuse to pull and put back in to start the process. Thanks in advance for your help. New used Mercedes owner...
