Check engine light came on.
Today, while I was driving my 430, I noticed the check engine light was on. It's running fine, was just serviced. Any suggestions?

Definitely check the gas cap first. I had the same problem and it was my O2 sensors, the two that come after the Cat. converter, replaced under warranty, whew.
I also bought an OBDII tester and figured out the problem for myself. That way I'd know if the dealership tries to
me.
I have the tester if you want to borrow it, although I live in LA.

other than that, the only option is to take it to the dealer unless you want to tinker with it and try and fix yourself. in which case, you would need to be like brian and get an OBDII tester to find the fault and repair it yourself...

I checked the gas cap and unfortunately that was not the problem. Are there any other simple things that might cause the check engine light to come on? If not, I'll just take it to the dealer and get it warranteed, I need new dash lights anyways

filling it up with too much gas will also cause it to happen.
it happened to me and i freaked.
16.4 is the max capacity according to the tank content window.
if you top it off too much the amount will stay at 16.4 for about 20 miles. after you kill some gas from driving and the content goes away the light will turn off.
