Gasoline gauge showing empty or always full?
I have a 99 320. I just recently noticed the gasoline gauge showing empty with the light on. But I know it couldn't be empty because I had filled it up the day before? So I just turned the car off and started it back up again. This time the gauge shows that it is completely full. After driving it the whole day, I didn't notice the gas go down at all, as if it was stuck at full. What is causing this problem? Is this covered by warranty? Thanks in advance

Fuel Sensors failed. If your vehicle is under waranty, it will be covered. They need to replace the fuel sensors and your instrument cluster.

2001 CLK430 Cab.
Just had the same problem repaired under warranty. Service guy told me they replaced "both" sensors and "both"fuel pumps. Since when did they start having two of everything?
